Core Values

Gateway Fellowship of West Roseville

G2 Beliefs > Mission Statement > Vision Statement > Doctrinal Statement > Core Values

  1. Worship:
We desire to worship God each time we get together.  We believe in multiple expressions of worship including music, drama, dance, and more.  We believe that worship can be expressed in many acceptable ways.  If you want to sing, clap, raise your hands, bow, dance, close your eyes, sit silently, however you find acceptable to worship at that time we will respect. There are two things we ask of you during worship: respect the Worship Leader and respect the people around you.
  2. Small Groups:
There are two vital purposes of the cell ministry:  Evangelism and Discipleship.

Evangelism is a goal of each Small Group because the group exists to multiply itself.  As the group grows in friendship and numbers it becomes time for the group to raise up a new leader and start another group.  We typically do this when 12 people are attending a group.  This will only happen when each person shares their faith in God with the people in their lives.  As people become interested in God the Small Group becomes a wonderful place to invite them to begin a relationship with God.  As they mature and grow in this relationship we begin to disciple/train people on biblical principles for living.

Discipleship is the ongoing result of the group's meeting together on a weekly basis. We have training material that will help each person understand and apply the principles in the bible.  This leads us to live according to God’s standards for our lives.  The Small Group is there to take an active role in helping other members to live with purpose.  As the members begin to live out that purpose the group will grow and we will reach others with God’s Truth.  We believe that the most effective means to reach a community with the Gospel is house to house and so we are committed to rising up Small Groups in our neighborhoods.
  3. Outreach:
We are committed to introducing as many people to Jesus as possible. We use respectful and appropriate means to lead people to a relationship with Jesus.  Our method for doing this is through personal evangelism and public outreach. We encourage every member of our fellowship to be actively involved in sharing their faith with others.  We also share the love we have with Jesus through local and overseas outreaches.  These are done with the purpose of extending kindness and care to a community.
  4. Church Multiplication:
We desire to plant multiple churches in the Northern California area. We have already begun 2 churches, G1 and G2, and the hope is to raise up many leaders who will plant more churches.  Each Gateway Fellowship church, both Natomas and Roseville, will work together to see this happen.
  5. Raising up and Releasing Leaders:
We maintain that the church grows faster and healthier as leaders are raised up and mentored to lead.  The goal of G2 is to produce disciples and we do this through our Small Group ministry and our Staff Internship process.
  6. Target Group:
We are in Roseville to reach two groups of people. The first group is the unchurched non-Christian. The second group is the nonchurched Christian.  Each of our ministries is designed to be a blessing to both groups.
  7. The Community of Northeast Sacramento:
Our goal as a church is to be good members of the Roseville community.  We believe this happens by seeking the best for a community through friendship, prayer, and meaningful acts of good works.
