Mike, Suzanne and Zoey Marczak
Lead Pastor & Director of Worship

We both graduated from Simpson University in the late 90's, Mike in Pastoral Studies and Suzanne in Liberal Arts.

We got married in May of 1999 and moved to Natomas, Sacramento to begin a new church with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. With the development of two Small Groups and a few preview Sunday Services we officially opened the doors of Gateway Fellowship Natomas in May of 2000. By 2006 G1 was ready to start another church.

For six years Mike served as the Associate Pastor, completing the ordination and church planting requirements for the C&MA. Suzanne served as the Director of Worship and Outreach, and also works for Dry Creek Elementary School District as a Vice Principle.

So with the help of Norm and Joy Schurdell as new staff members and two handfuls of members from G1 we began G2 in West Roseville.

We are both graduates of the University of the Pacific (U.O.P.) in Stockton, CA receiving our Bachelor Degrees. Joy completed her Masters Degree in Adapted Physical Education at Sacramento State University in Sacramento, CA and Norm completed his Masters Degree in Ministry at Simpson University in Redding, CA.

Shortly before finishing our undergraduate degrees at U.O.P. we were married in 1996, and during our many summers away from college, we worked at a summer camp for youth as trained River Rafting, Rock Climbing, and Backpacking guides - putting to good use our many years of ministry experiences.

We moved to Sacramento in 2000 and got connected with G1 in Natomas shortly after its Grand Opening. Since then we have enjoyed being interwoven into all aspects of ministry from Youth Leaders, Sunday School teachers, Sound/Audio/Video - Worship Team members, Missionaries, and cell/Small Group leaders!

As licensed workers of the Christian and Missionary Alliance we are truly excited to be an integral part of working along side Mike and Suzanne and all of the families at G2. Aside from helping to shepherd those at G2, Joy is also a Program Specialist for Adapted P.E. in the Natomas Unified School District and Norm owns and operates a full-service Design firm Why Not Design / WhyNotDomains.com.
